Perhaps now you understand why I believe that it is such a challenge to be a good teacher of a Math Methods course! Two factors limit the probability that progress will be consistently detected and rewarded: difficulty specifying objectives, and complexity of instructional conditions. My philosophy is that if you understand math as you go along, you will be able to do your homework well yourself and you should be able to do well on exams. This seem to be effective but there could be other tricks, like just adding a value to the higher no. (9, in this case 1 is to be added) and subtracting the value from the other no. (8) which will make it 7, and 17 could be easily derived from 10 and 7, will that be more effective over my previous method? The increased accountability has lead to the necessity for being able to identify and quantitatively assess the characteristics of a quality teacher. This is the same company that designs standardized tests for most New York students in grades three through eight. Teachers know how to internally motivate learners, rather than relying on external motivators as coercions and rewards/punishments that do not work for the majority of learners. There are two main hypotheses in this study: (1) Control strategies tend to rely more on content at stake in books intended for honors students, and (2) Reform oriented textbooks provide the control structure more explicitly.
